Join us for a fun and meaningful day of Mahjong in support of The Next Door Recovery.
Mahj for Good will feature two playing sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, each thoughtfully designed to welcome players of all experience levels.
Session One: 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (doors open at 10)
Session Two: 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (doors open at 1:30)
Each session will include:
8 beginner tables, taught by Michelle Dermenjian—also known as Missy Mahjong—whose wealth of Mahjong knowledge and infectious enthusiasm make learning the game approachable, fun, and engaging.
17 intermediate/advanced tables for experienced players ready to enjoy competitive and social play.
Whether you are learning your first dot, bam, or crack, or you already love the game, this day is about connection and impact.
Tables are available for a $1,000 donation. Individual seats are available for a $250 donation. Space is limited to 25 tables per round, so we encourage you to reserve your table or seat soon.
Proceeds from Mahj for Good will support women receiving a 28 day stay at The Next Door Recovery. The cost of care for one woman for 28 days is $17,800, making this day of play a direct investment in hope and healing.
